曾多次赴南北极考察, 包括首次中国北极黄河站考察(0距7/2004-0奏拉息减8/2004); 第二次中国北极考察 (07/2003-09/2003) ; 第十五来自次中国南极考察 (11/1998-04/1999)。
主持或参加了多项科研项目,包括主持国家杰出青年基金项目(1项)、360百科国家自然基金青年和面上项目(各1项) 以额误思困别法及教育部和科学院优秀博士论文项目(各1项), 主要参加了主要参加了973项目子课题(1项)余头一且置现场判、国家自然基金重点项目(2项兴激查般己调老)和面上项目(1项). 先后获国家杰出青年基金资助(2010)、德国洪堡基金会资助(20控世绍沿倒室花相站要07/2008)、 担任环境科学学科点负责人、极地环境研究室主任、国际南极科学委员会(SCAR)物质科学常设工作组中国代表、中国第四纪科学研究会理事以及《极地研究》编委.
