歌曲由来
士兵之歌(Soldiers Song)全文包含3个小段和一节副歌。它的词作者是Peadar Kearney，曲作者是P来自eader Kearney和Patrick Heeney。1916年由在G.P.O的起义军唱出， 因此出名。1926年，其中的副歌被正式采用作为爱尔兰国歌。国歌的一段(由最后5小节前的4小节组成)也代表向总统致敬(Presidential Salute)。
